Burswood in the Community

Burswood Entertainment Complex recognises the important role that it plays in the Western Australian community and we are committed to working with our neighbours, industry groups and local charities, to make a long-term difference through our community partnerships, sponsorships and employee involvement initiatives.

Through our “Helping You to Help Others’ programme, we proudly support a number of local charities such as Variety WA, Youth Focus, the Amanda Young Foundation and Ronald McDonald House, through the provision of facilities and resources across the Complex.

In addition, we actively participate in community-based projects including Crime Stoppers, Movies by Burswood, Foodbank, Storm the Stage Youth Arts Project, the Taxi Driver of the Year Awards and the donation of unclaimed winnings in the Casino to the Western Australian Gaming Community Trust.

Sponsorships also play a fundamental role in our support of local community and sporting organisations, and in attracting world-class events and tourism opportunities for Western Australia. Burswood Entertainment Complex enjoys partnerships with sporting clubs and events such as the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Football Clubs and the Hyundai Hopman Cup.

At the heart of our community programme are our employees! More than 3,000 staff and family members are encouraged to participate in valuable community initiatives including  the annual ‘Walk to Cure’ for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Swan River rehabilitation activities with Conservation Volunteers Australia and contributions to the Archbishop’s Winter Appeal for Anglicare and St Vincent de Paul’s Christmas Appeal for Perth families in need.
